October 1–7, 2012 is “Kids Photography Week” in Colorado.
Join us at the Denver Botanic Gardens on Sunday, October 7, for a “Family Portrait Day” fundraiser.
Proceeds benefit CPAC and DBG Youth Programming
Kids Photography Week is an annual event that offers youth, ages 5-18, an exciting opportunity to participate in seven days of photo activities throughout the Denver Metro area. Between October 1 – 7, CPAC and our partner organizations co-present daily low or no cost activities ranging from photo scavenger hunts for younger kids, to mixed-media photo workshops for older youth.
Promising young photographers are encouraged to bring their own digital camera, or use one of CPAC’s. Each event will be a unique creative experience for youth led by experienced art educators. Regional art schools and educators are encouraged to hold their own Kids Photo Week events. Curricula and promotional materials are available from CPAC.
Kids Photography Week will culminate in a fundraiser at the Botanical Gardens, Sunday, October 7, to support CPAC and Botanical Gardens youth programming. Works created during the week will be shown at the CPAC gallery November/December.

Denver Art Museum, 100 West 14th Avenue Parkway, Denver
Free admission to the museum all day. Look for DAM and CPAC volunteers, or ask the docents at the ticket office for our location.
Sunday, October 7. Starting times: 11 am, 1 pm, 3 pm
Theme: Scavenger Hunt! + Portrait Day Fundraiser

Free with admission to the gardens.
Scavenger Hunts last approximately 75 mins. The weather forecast is for a sunny day, 60 degrees but chilly in the morning. Should be a lot of fun on a crisp fall day!!!
