Join Denver based landscape and nature photographer, Evan Anderman, on an excursion to see the glory of Autumn in the Rocky Mountains. Learn the subtleties of landscape and nature photography with a working professional as your shooting buddy.  Workshop includes a three-hour introductory session, a full day of shooting on location and a follow-up critique session to be held at Evan’s studio in Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe. While creating dynamic compositions we’ll cover such topics as equipment, workflow, exposure, perspective, time of day, and quality of light.

Colorado strikes gold annually when the aspen trees turn a brilliant yellow amidst the green pine of the Rocky Mountains.  Combine the beauty of fall leaves with the mating rituals of large elk, and you have the perfect fall weekend! Colorado’s peak fall foliage is usually from mid-September to mid-October, and can vary from season to season.  To experience the best this season has to offer, the field site for this workshop will be determined based on conditions at the time of the workshop.

Evan Anderman seeks to challenge our understanding of the relationship between human beings and the natural world by documenting the changing landscapes, streams, and atmosphere that are overlooked by human development.  He finds solace in the solitude that seemingly barren areas offer, and is empowered to rise to the challenge of portraying these landscapes with optimism.
