Many elements go into consistently creating great portraits for magazines and clients.  All of them start with effective lighting, which, set up properly, can make an ordinary portrait extraordinary. Many times as an assignment photographer you are shooting a subject without knowing anything about the environment. During this four-session class you will learn how to use ambient light, simple location strobe, and will get a solid introduction to studio lighting.  The class begins by teaching students the fundamentals of lighting and introduces them to studio equipment. From there, students will explore lighting set-ups, modifiers, and more. Students will have an opportunity to work with a wide variety of studio lighting equipment and a model.

Shooting in his studio on Santa Fe Drive, as well as on location, Anthony will walk you through his process of portraiture and teach you how to make the most of the environment, whether you are in a studio, jail cell or street corner.

For over 15 years, Anthony Camera has been photographing for clients such as Westword, 5280, Psychology Today, and Newsweek.
