Transform your photographic images by using encaustic techniques. The luscious translucency of the beeswax can add a new dimension to your photographs. You will learn to prepare digital images, mount prints on panels, apply wax medium, individual mark-making, texture and brushwork, incorporating colored pigments, and fusing the wax layers. Techniques for layering additional materials and images will also be discussed. No Photoshop experience is required and instructor will assist. This class will give you a basic working knowledge of the process so you can go home with a finished image and continue to explore fun new ways to use your images after class.
