Learn how to use all the features of your digital SLR camera to take more interesting pictures in this intensive hands-on workshop led by instructor Rayna Tedford. You will be comfortable choosing shooting modes, apertures, shutter speeds, ISO, and white balance.
- Manual Digital SLR camera operation
- File formats (JPG vs RAW), resolution, image quality
- Dynamic compositions
- How to use the light meter to get better exposures

Supplies: Please bring your digital camera with charged batteries, memory card, camera case or bag, and any accessories you are curious to learn how to use, notebook and pen. Class includes photographing outdoors, dress appropriately!*

About the Instructor: Rayna Manger Tedford was born in Houston, Texas. Active in the arts most of her life, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in photography at the University of Texas at Austin, and received her Master of Fine Arts in photography and media arts at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Her work has been exhibited at venues including Galeria de Arte Fotografico Meliton Rodriguez, Medellin, Colombia; the Soho Photo Gallery in New York City; Kobe Karp Gallery in Miami; Jazz Bakery Gallery in Los Angeles; Clos de L’Abbaye Galerie, Paris; Al Kauf Gallery, Bethlehem; Center for the Living Arts, Mobile, Alabama; and has toured the U.S. in the Texas Photographic Society’s Alternative Processes Traveling Exhibit. She has taught traditional and digital photography classes at the University of Colorado Boulder, University of Colorado at Denver, Anderson Ranch Arts Center, and other locations around the Denver area.
