This is a two(2) day, two(2) night landscape workshop focusing primarily on night landscape photography on Mt. Evans. Chris will lead students to various locations on the mountain both during the day and at night. Participants will learn a variety of strategies for shooting: time-lapsed, landscape and environmental photography, as wells as learn exposure techniques for both film and digital cameras.
This is a camping workshop for those who wish. Campers must provide their own gear-tents, sleeping bags, etc. For those who wish for more comfort, they may make accommodations in Idaho Springs at their own expense. In regards to photography gear, the most important is a camera with a Manual or Bulb setting (film or digital) a cable release and a sturdy tripod…we are going to be taking long exposures, cheap, skinny tripods do not work very well.
