Over the course of this one-day introductory workshop, you will learn the skills to create work incorporating photographic and digital imagery on the iphone or iPad. You will learn how to allow images to present themselves by tapping into your creative process. Through practical demonstrations and images taken during the course, you will learn how to combine images in unique ways to express your vision as a photographic artist.

Using iPhone apps like Juxstaposer, Image Blender, Hipstamatic, and Scratchcam FX, learn to find the ‘magic in the mundane’ and to express your unique vision as a photographic artist. Note: An iPhone, or iPad and additional apps are required.

This photographic process is a kissing-cousin of the cyanotype, and renders tones from a soft sepia to a rich chocolate brown. Ideal for mixed media and fiber artists, or anyone looking to experiment with new media. Learn the basics of chemistry, exposure, and processing, and then experiment with the process on a variety of supports. No photographic knowledge or experience is required.

Exploring Color Images with Inkodye

Inkodye is a light-sensitive vat dye you can use as a photo medium to print on paper, fabric, and more. Available in multiple colors, this process allows the easy printing of images for anyone looking to experiment with photography as part of their creative practice. No photographic knowledge or experience is required.
