Ed Kashi Workshop April 27-28

Photojournalist Ed Kashi returns to CPAC for a special weekend of assignments and reviews.

Saturday April 27 (afternoon session) & Sunday April 28 (all day)
Meets at: 1513 Boulder St, Denver. Cost: $300/$270 members

Spend two days with Ed Kashi, photojournalist and member of the VII Photo Agency, by being part of an exciting one time only event! Spend the afternoon of Saturday April 27th with Kashi and the workshop participants sharing work and discussing a wide range of topics and issues related to photojournalism, documentary photography, the role of photography in social media and just about anything under the sun. Then spend Sunday April 28th going out with Kashi and the group to document downtown Denver. You can use any capture device of your liking, including a mobile device. At the end of the day everyone will gather to share stories and ask questions. By Monday morning you’ll be asked to submit your favorite 7-10 images, from which Ed will produce a blog post with your images and a short bio, plus upload at least one of your images to the VII Instagram feed.

Ed Kashi is a photojournalist, filmmaker and educator dedicated to documenting the social and political issues that define our times. A sensitive eye and an intimate relationship to his subjects are signatures of his work. As a member of VII Photo Agency, Kashi has been recognized for his complex imagery and its compelling rendering of the human condition. Last year (Feb 2012) Kashi led a sold out one-day seminar and portfolio review at CPAC. He returns this year by popular demand to lead a weekend of photography and reviews, and to present the VII Photo Agency’s film “Uncommissioned” at the Sie FilmCenter Tuesday, April 30.
